Monday Mornings

English 1204H:

The English class was good; it was small and the teacher seemed nice. It seems like I will be doing a lot of blogging off of this website at http://abeldavid.blogspot.com for her assignments. I’m kind of excited, I’ll definitely get used to writing blog posts. (I have already resetted this account several times, so maybe it’ll help me keep up with it). Anyways, the class should be good: there are a lot of nice people in it.

Chemistry 1065:

The class is larger than any that I have ever been in and the teacher is crazy, but in a good way. The class should be easy becuase I think I’m really good at chemistry but we’ll see. We are having a quiz this Thursday so I’ll have to study for that, but it’s basic stuff like sig-figs etc. I probably didn’t meet people in this class because it’s so big, but I should so I can get into a study group.

I’m happy with the classes that I’ve been to. I also can’t wait to start that blog for English class.

My Moleskine

Me and my moleskine.

Me and my moleskine.

I’ve had my moleskine notebook–pocket ruled–for about 2 months now and I’m loving it. I’m using it as my memory and organizer in the GTD context. I love the idea of brain dumping, writing everything down in your mind that needs to get done. It makes it easier because you don’t have to worry about forgetting a task, and you can always add to your list of tasks at any time. I chose to use a moleskine because I wanted something I didn’t need to charge up, keep in a case, or have to sync with my computer. I’ve had a PDA before and I didn’t use it that much because of those reasons. So here’s a picture of me with my moleskine. The tabs from the front: Weekly Tasks, Projects; from the back: Media Lists, Lists.

Moving-in

I finished moving into my dorm yesterday. I am in 0341 Miles Hall at Virginia Tech. The dorm is nice, small, but nice. I feel really good about how the room is set up, and I have enough fans to keep me cool at night. Miles Hall is conveniently between two dining halls, D2 and Owens, so I won’t be starving while I’m here. This is my newest post in a long time so just to reaquaint myself, my name is Abel David from Northern Virginia. You can follow me on Twitter, username: abeldavid.
